P.O. Box 485
Pendleton, OR 97801
Eastern Oregon Climate Change Coalition (EOC3), a 501(c)(3) public charity, strives to learn, together, how to live with a changing climate and promote a sustainable future. Our primary focus is education, with an emphasis on collaboration, conservation, and adaptation.
EOC3 hosts monthly Climate Conversations, which are presentations by local & regional experts discussing impacts of climate change upon our environment, local industries & communities, with a focus on impacts to communities in Eastern Oregon. Climate Conversations are broadcast via Zoom, live-streamed to EOC3’s Facebook page & posted to this website. See recordings, plus full list of past and upcoming programs below.
In addition to monthly Climate Conversations, EOC3 board members work with community members in various subcommittees, such as Youth & Education, Advocacy, Xeriscaping and community outreach.
All meetings are open to the public and all enquiries are welcome.
EOC3 formally began in 2017 when a group of interested citizens started meeting and soon formed a 501(c)(3) organization. The purpose at that time was to promote education about climate change and learn together how our community can adapt to its impacts. It is a diverse group, including members of the agriculture community, educators, natural resources, and mental health professionals and lay citizens from all walks of life. EOC3 continues to be all-volunteer and low budget, but with about 300 local people on its contact list.
EOC3 has grown over the years, attracting an ever-impressive cadre of speakers for its monthly Climate Conversations. EOC3 is dedicated to sharing the latest science-based information in a non-partisan manner. Within the last two years EOC3 has received generous support and grants from local organizations:
Wildhorse Foundation (2020 – Grant for technical equipment for Climate Conversations)
Energy Trust of Oregon (2022 Sponsor)
Pendleton Foundation Trust (2022 – Grant for new Website).
EOC3 also enjoys reciprocal affiliations with other organizations such as Blue Mountain Land Trust.
EOC3 is grateful for this support, as well as for the support of members which forms the backbone of its work.
